Workhorse to Exhibit W-15 Electric Pickup Truck at the National Drive Electric Week™ Event in Cincinnati September 9

CINCINNATI, Sept. 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Workhorse Group Inc. (NASDAQ: WKHS), a Cincinnati-based technology company focused on providing electric mobility solutions to the transportation sector, today announced that it will exhibit the new W-15 electric range-extended pickup truck at the National Drive Electric Week™ event at Cincinnati's Tri-County Mall on September 9. The truck will be on display and available for test drives from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The Workhorse W-15 light duty platform design is an extension of the E-Gen electric technology used in Workhorse medium-duty delivery trucks, and is the first plug-in range-extended electric pickup built from the ground up by an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) in America. The vehicle is designed for unlimited range, with the first 80-miles all-electric powered using Panasonic 18650 Li-ion batteries, and additional range as needed using the gasoline generator to continuously charge the battery.

The W-15 will also feature onboard exportable power, allowing individuals to operate equipment directly from the vehicle without requiring an external generator. With the goal of being the safest pickup truck in America for fleet operators, the W-15's safety features include an extra large crumple zone and lower center of gravity while still providing ground clearance. The W-15 also offers crash mitigation technologies, including automatic braking and lane centering. Once production commences, the W-15 is anticipated to have a $52,500 MSRP.
