CINCINNATI, April 28, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Steve Burns, CEO of Workhorse Group Inc. (NASDAQ:WKHS), a last-mile delivery technology company that is an original equipment manufacturer of medium-duty, battery-electric trucks and fully integrated unmanned aerial delivery drones, will give a presentation on the Company’s technology at the 2016 Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo in the Grand Ballroom of the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, CA on May 3.
During his presentation, titled “Truck-Based Drone Delivery for the Last Mile,” Mr. Burns will speak about the design efficiencies of the Workhorse E-GEN™ electric truck. He will also discuss the economic efficiencies and state-of-the-art technology involved in the Company’s truck-based HorseFly™ Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) delivery system, which is currently undergoing testing by Workhorse under a Section 333 exception granted by the Federal Aviation Administration.
Mr. Burns’ presentation is one of a series of ACT Talks, which are short individual presentations that shine a light on key leaders driving innovation in the advanced transportation industry. Each of these trailblazers has charted a new course in their respective fields of advanced vehicle technologies across sectors, fuels, and end-use applications.
